Treat the device as the primary computer
When work can happen locally, it should. The result is often faster, less dependent on connectivity and less demanding of server-side data.
MOLANSEN is the brand of a small software company founded in Shenzhen in 2026. We develop cross-platform applications for distribution through app stores.
MOLANSEN is a coined brand name, not an acronym. We use it to hold three connected ideas: modular foundations, answers to real problems and sensible software. That means well-defined parts and stable underlying models, decisions grounded in a person’s actual situation, and an experience that is clear, dependable and appropriately secure.
Our shorthand is “Modular foundations. Sensible software.” It sets a standard for the work: structure should support clarity, and technical decisions should improve the experience people actually have. The mark connects M, L and S in a single rising line: two upward strokes for M, an extending link for L and a flowing curve for S.
We are a very small team. That gives each decision a clear owner, but it also means choosing carefully what to build and what to leave out.
We would rather be judged by software people can use than by claims about scale. Until a product is ready, this website will not make promises on its behalf.
These principles affect feature decisions, so they should be public and open to comparison with the products we release.

When work can happen locally, it should. The result is often faster, less dependent on connectivity and less demanding of server-side data.
02
A feature should answer who needs it and under what circumstances. If that answer is unclear, it can wait.
03
People should not have to search through settings before software becomes reasonable to use. Adjustments should be few and predictable.
04
Prefer readable, exportable formats so people can still work with their content after they stop using our software.
05
A technical choice should still be supportable years from now, not merely convenient during the first implementation.
06
Product pages, privacy notices and store listings should describe shipping behaviour, not planned features.
These are constraints we set for ourselves, not judgements about other businesses.
